Leads – Lead In & Lead Out Moves
Leads (or Lead In/Lead Out moves) are toolpath operations where the tool plunges into the material outside of the shape you wish to cut. This allows you keep any unwanted artefacts such as tear out, chipping or burning, positioned in your waste material and away from your final piece.
